When he first got to Notre Dame, he couldn't throw Ohio State under the bus enough. He was glad he didn't make the mistake of picking the Buckeyes twice and then straight up said no players go to class here, which drew fire from current players as well several of Marcus' teammates.
But now he is in hot water after a few inexcusable losses. So now he can't stop trotting out Jim Tressel as his mentor and friend to vouch for him and tell all the angry Domers to relax.
I loved Marcus as a player and I wished him nothing but success when he was announced as the coach there, but he is really showing that he is completely self-serving with his attitude towards his alma mater now. He talks bad about us when it suits him well, and comes running for the clout when he needs protection.
