Looking at NFL active rosters (as opposed to draft picks) is a good way to look at player development at college programs. You aren't on the field for an NFL team unless you can play. It also shows that while the SEC dominates in recruiting rankings, the Big Ten is pretty close with them in NFL players - it is not much of a gap.
