Although this is my personal opinion, I do believe there is a hint of factuality in my list of what schools are "football schools", and what schools are "basketball schools". First here are a few guidelines:
- The school must be historically great at the sport
- If a school is historically good in both sports i.e. Michigan (Boo), Ohio State, or Michigan State, the sport the fanbase cares for the most will be chosen.
- Any that are very close to being both will be marked (*)
- Teams like Vanderbilt or Oregon State are "baseball schools" and won't be included.
- This list is in no particular order so don't be offended if your team is slightly lower
