TTUN is currently the #2 team in the country and even got some 1st place votes but have they really been #2 in the country impressive? Their schedule to this point in the season has consisted of 3 group of 5 teams at home. ECU 30 - 3 UNLV 35 - 7 BGSU 31 - 6 Put OSU in that same schedule with the same scores and how do we think the narrative would sound? BGSU is probably the best team they have faced and they put up stats of 143 passing with 2 TDs and 3 ints and it could have easily been 1 TD and 4 INTs and 169 yards rushing with 54 of those coming on 1 run in the first quarter. What is the impressive win on that schedule? OSU started on the road with a new QB, an almost completely new oline and playing a B1G team that actually does seem to have a good defense and won by 20 while giving up 3. Week 2 they won by 35 - 7 vs YSU but it would have certainly been more if McCord played more in the 2nd half. Then this week they destroyed Western Kentucky 63 - 10 and you could argue that their offense is better than any of the teams TTUN played this year. If you look at the Teams stats OSU is actually averaging more yards per game 478 to 402 with the defensive stats being basically even with TTUN giving up about 2 yards less a game.
Does That Team Up North Deserve to Be #2?
