This is not a "settlement" despite Michigan's attempts to spin otherwise.
Michigan accepted the Big Ten's punishment and the Big Ten reserves the right to issue further punishment based on future NCAA findings. Spinning this as some type of settlement is delusional, yet par for the course.

There is internal speculation at Michigan that one of their current players was the whistleblower.
The NCAA has continued its investigation and interviewed some players ("they seemed to know who they wanted to talk to" - that goes back to the potential whistleblower, it seems). We know at least one, personally.
So ... that's a fact. We don't know what was said, or who said what, and they are going to protect the players, who nobody is blaming for any of this.
