As many of us do, I was recently perusing one of the more recent TTUN Scandal threads (CCXXIX to be exact) and came across this exchange between Wellerbuck and 311:

So with my free time, I decided to look back at some of the highlights of this game on ESPN and see if I could not only find Connor, but see any body language that would be indicative of his illegal scheme finally failing.

First off though, here are some examples I found of Connor (underlined in red) standing directly on (or as close as possible to) the line of scrimmage on 3 separate scoring plays for TCU. You'll notice him holding his portfolio of cheat sheets, along with standing right by DC Jesse Minter's side on both of TCU's offensive touchdowns, but is by himself on a McCarthy pick six, presumably because his buddy Matt Weiss was up in the booth calling the play:

But we already knew all of this, so to get back to the question at hand, a more intriguing discovery I made wasn't on a scoring play at all, but actually a broken play 3rd & 2 conversion for TCU, and I broke it down:

Act 1: Connor observing from his usual position alongside partner in crime Jesse

Act 2: Ball is snapped and within less than a second, the entire defensive line immediately deciphers that the play call is a wide receiver screen towards the short side of the field:

(The pictures don't do justice to how fast the whole line can tell it's a short side screen, regardless of any tells from the offensive linemen, you would have to watch the replay "Max Duggan evades Michigan defenders for a big gain" here to see for yourself.)

Act 3: Connor and Jesse now in full view witnessing their scheme play out masterfully

Act 4: What originally started this search, as Connor confusedly raises his arms up as when it becomes apparent that even still in his genius, he forgot to account for the idea of a mobile quarterback as Max Duggan realizes the screen was likely dead and reverses his direction to scramble for a first down.

A closeup:

With my limited resources and blocked links, ESPN was the only source I was able to use in my search, but I'm sure with something like an All22 full game footage, or even just the full game on youtube, I'm sure there's plenty more evidence, given that this magic michigan team would go on to give up 51 points to a team that would lose the national championship by a 58 point margin. Hope you guys enjoyed this little look back while I had some time on my hands.
