COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 9-ranked Ohio State men’s hockey team prevailed over No. 18 Notre Dame in a Big Ten Conference game Saturday in front of nearly 10,000 fans in Value City Arena. The Irish scored first, but sophomores Quinn Preston and Gustaf Westlund both lit the lamp for the Buckeyes for the victory, with senior Tanner Laczynski posting the first assist on both goals. Freshman goalie Ryan Snowden had 28 saves for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State, now 9-1-2 at home, improves to 15-6-3 overall and 8-4-2-0 in Big Ten play. The Fighting Irish are 10-10-4 this season, with a 5-6-3-2 conference ledger.

The Buckeyes will be on the road for back-to-back series. Ohio State will travel to Minnesota for two games Friday and Saturday.
