Will Howard and Cody Simon were two of the Big Ten’s best players in Week 13.

Howard shared Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors with Illinois wide receiver Pat Bryant while Simon was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week in recognition of their performances in Ohio State’s 38-15 win over Indiana.

Howard earns Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks, having also won the award for his performance against Purdue. The Ohio State quarterback completed 22 of 26 passing attempts for 201 yards and two touchdowns with one interception – which came on a pass that should have been caught by Jelani Thurman – while he also ran for a 1-yard touchdown against Indiana.

Simon is Ohio State’s first Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week of the season after he recorded 10 tackles with a career-high 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble against the Hoosiers.

Ohio State players have now won a combined six Big Ten player of the week awards this season. Howard and Jeremiah Smith have each won two awards, with Smith landing Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors twice.
