A total of four Ohio State baseball players were selected in this year’s MLB draft.
The highest-drafted Buckeye was relief pitcher TJ Brock, who led Ohio State with a 3.78 earned-run average during the 2022 season. He was drafted in the sixth round (188th overall) by the Toronto Blue Jays.

The second Buckeye off the board was shortstop Zach Dezenzo, who tied the school record with 19 home runs while hitting .319 with 54 RBIs last season. He was taken by the Houston Astros in Round 12 (No. 373 overall).

Two other Buckeye pitchers, both juniors who could still return to Ohio State for their senior seasons, were selected in the final round of the draft. The Philadelphia Phillies selected Nate Karaffa and the Chicago White Sox selected Ethan Hammerberg within 10 picks of each other in the 20th round.
