Welp, this week was not spectacular, but the Buckeyes finished out their road schedule for the season.

Starting on Tuesday, the Buckeyes made the return trip to Wright State, who won 3-0 in the first matchup. Wright State opened up the scoring with a run off a wild pitch in the B3, but Ohio State quickly responded with a RBI single by Mitchell Okuley in the T4, bringing in Marcus Ernst to tie the game. However, Two RBI singles in the B5 would give Wright State the 3-1 win and the season sweep of the Buckeyes. Relief pitcher Jacob Gehring was given the loss, bringing him to 0-3.

Ohio State would then travel to Iowa for their penultimate Big Ten series.

In Game 1 on Friday, Iowa opened the scoring with a RBI bunt in the B1. Ohio State would take a brief lead with a 2-run T3, but a 6-run B3 by Iowa gave them the lead for good. The Buckeyes would try to come back, but every time they would score in the top half of the inning, the Hawkeyes would stretch the lead in the bottom half, ultimately winning 16-9. Tyler Pettorini was the high personal scorer with 4 runs, and Nick Erwin was the high team scorer with 4 RBIs, but once again stranded runners hampered the Buckeyes as they left 12 runners on base, including a bases loaded situation in the T1. Starting pitcher Josh Timmerman was given the loss, bringing him to 2-2.

Game 2 went similarly, but with less offense for Ohio State. The Buckeyes once again took the lead in the T3 off a Hank Thomas solo home run, but a 4-run B3 gave Iowa the lead for good, as they would go on to win 15-3. Trey Lipsey and Cole Andrews were responsible for the other two Buckeye runs while Ernst recorded the one other Buckeye RBI. Starter Gavin Bruni was given the loss, bringing him to 3-3.

Sunday was graduation day across THE Ohio State University, and seven Baseball Bucks earned their degrees. Shoutout to Joey Aden, Cole Andrews, Nolen Clegg, Marcus Ernst, Jonah Jenkins, Caden Kaiser, and Wyatt Loncar. While it hasn't been the greatest of seasons, congrats to you all, and good luck to wherever you go in life

Game 3 went much better defensively as Ohio State only gave up two runs, and striking out 9 Hawkeyes. This time, Iowa got the scoring started with a solo home run in the B2, but Ohio State quickly responded with a run off a bases loaded walk to tie the game. After an RBI single by Iowa in the B5, Pettorini would tie the game again with a solo shot of his own in the T6, and a 3-run T7 would give the Buckeyes the lead they would not relinquish, holding on for the 5-2 win. Reliever Justin Eckhardt was given the win, bringing him to 3-3, and closer Landon Beidelschies recorded the save.

After the 1-3 week, Ohio State fell to 23-25; Wright State improved to 29-18, and Iowa improved to 34-12.

Up next, Ohio State has two one-off midweek games, one against UCF on Tuesday, and one against Central Michigan on Wednesday before a three game weekend series against UNC Greensboro.
