Trailing 28-7 in the late third quarter, Indiana almost seemed to give up entirely on its passing game and primarily ran the ball. At that point, I heard Gus ask Klatt if Indiana was "throwing in the towel."
It made me wonder if Cignetti was just trying to run the clock to get out with a respectable loss. Had the IU quarterback hurt his hand?
It just seemed odd for such a prolific passing offense to appear to give up any urgency in trying to come back in the game.
