Swam prelims for 6 events this morning - 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back and 3m dive. All but the diving have finished. Buckeyes well positioned to score major points in 4 of the 5 swimming events.
In the 100 fly they have 4 of the top 8 swimmers (maximum of 8 swim in a heat, will swim a B heat for scoring positions 9-16 then an A heat to score first through eighth, they only score the top 16 swimmers in an event).
In the 400 IM they have 4 of the top 8 and one more in the B final. 200 free is the one event that they do not have a large presence. They have 1 in the top 8. In the 100 breast they have 3 of the top 8 and in the 100 back they have 3 of the top 8 including Lawrence Funderburke's daughter Nyah who won this event last year.
Indiana and tcun will pick up a bunch of points in the 200 free but the Buckeyes have them outgunned in the other swim events for tonight's finals starting at 5 pm.
There is also a 200 free relay tonight which the Buckeyes should be favored to win.
