Ohio State's star freshman from a season ago, who declared for the NBA draft while maintaining his college eligibility on April 1, will have a press conference at 1 p.m. Wednesday alongside Buckeye head coach Chris Holtmann.

Presumably, Malaki Branham will be announcing whether or not he will return for a second season of college basketball in 2022-23. Branham told Eleven Warriors Saturday that Holtmann encouraged him to test the waters of the NBA draft process, but the Columbus native has maintained that if he expects to be a first-round pick, he will remain in the draft.

June 13 is the early-entry withdrawal deadline for draft prospects, with the 2022 NBA draft set to take place on June 23.
