The Buckeyes are in the running to land a top-two prospect in the state of Ohio in the 2024 class.
Centerville's Jonathan Powell, a four-star recruit and the No. 98 overall prospect in the cycle, listed Ohio State among his top six schools on Tuesday. Powell, a 6-foot-6, 170-pound shooting guard, also included Michigan State, Indiana, Xavier, Clemson and Virginia Tech on his list.

Ohio State only has one commit in the 2024 class as of now, landing four-star combo Juni Mobley back in October of 2022.
