"I just felt like I found the right fit for me and I thought why wait," Allen said of his upcoming commitment. "Like why keep going through the process when I know where I am going to go."
The 6-foot-6, 190-pound forward is ranked as the No. 8 power forward (No. 52 overall) in the class and will decide between Arkansas, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State and Stanford.
While discussing each of his final six schools, he had positive things to say about the Buckeyes and what Chris Holtmann's program can offer him.
"That's a great program. Just the history and tradition of it is great and just the people behind Ohio State will be good for NIL opportunities like LeBron."
Ohio State's lone commit in the 2024 class is four-star Bishop Gorman combo guard Juni Mobley, who is considered the 44th-best prospect in the class. Expected to sign a smaller class in 2024 than in recent years, there's a possibility that the Buckeyes' class this cycle could only consist of one or two high school recruits.
