Two weeks after receiving an offer from Ohio State, three-star 2024 Ottawa-Glandorf forward Colin White included the Buckeyes in his top five, along with Butler, Cincinnati, Northwestern and TCU.

The No. 33 small forward (No. 152 overall) in the 2024 class, White is considered the fifth-best in-state prospect in the cycle. The top four Ohio players in the cycle – Damarius Owens (Marquette), Jonathan Powell (Xavier), Raleigh Burgess (Purdue) and Jesse McCulloch (Michigan State) – are already committed elsewhere.
In June, White dominated throughout much of Ohio State's high school team camp, a performance that Chris Holtmann and Jake Diebler certainly noticed. Even after an impressive camp in front of the Buckeye coaches, it took a little over a month for White to earn an OSU offer.
“It'd be great. In-state kid, you grow up watching Ohio State, so that would mean everything,” White told Eleven Warriors of potentially earning an offer from the Buckeyes after the team camp, something that came to fruition five weeks later.
The 6-foot-6, 180-pound forward has the type of versatility both as a point-forward and in the post, IQ and playmaking ability that Holtmann has always loved on his team.
Four-star Bishop Gorman combo guard Juni Mobley – the 44th-best prospect in the class – is the lone commit in Ohio State's 2024 class. Expected to sign a smaller class in 2024 than in recent years, there's a possibility that the Buckeyes' class this cycle could only consist of one or two high school recruits.
