While playing for Seattle Rotary in the EYBL, the Sammamish, Washington big man dominated throughout a tournament that featured plenty of high-ranked opponents. With a number of college coaches in attendance for the tournament, it gave Cofie a chance to make a name for himself and he took advantage of the opportunity.

“I think I have definitely established myself as one of the top ‘bigs’ because I’m mobile for my height, can hit jump shots and I can push the ball up the court if needed,” he told The Seattle Medium's RayJaun Stelly.
“It is very encouraging to see that my hard work is getting noticed locally and nationally. It only pushes me to get better to be the best I can be. I do my best to stay focused since it’s only the beginning. Keeping up with my schoolwork, practice and games leaves little time to get distracted.”
Ohio State offered Cofie last October and has been in constant contact with the 6-foot-9, 225-pound forward ever since.
With forward Colin White (No. 153 overall) and combo guard Juni Mobley (No. 45 overall) already committed to Ohio State in the 2024 class. Mobley and White could potentially be the only two high school commits in the cycle for the Buckeyes but it's also a possibility that Chris Holtmann and company decide to add a big man to the class as well.
