Mikesell was selected by the Indiana Fever with the 13th overall pick in the 2023 WNBA draft but was released by the team during preseason cuts. She later signed with the Atlanta Dream and appeared in six games with the team, averaging 2.8 points per game, but was waived after just one month with the team.
Now, Mikesell has another chance to establish herself in the league. She is currently one of two former Ohio State players on a WNBA roster along with Kelsey Mitchell, who is set for her seventh season with the Indiana Fever in 2024.
