In 2007 OSU football played in the NC. In 2007 OSU basketball played in the NC. Yes, both lost (btw the 2006 football team also played in the NC), but the drop off of Ohio State basketball under Gene Smith is grossly dramatic.  Gene is a football guy at heart, and his inability to recognize his shortcomings in coaching evaluation are killing a once proud program. And that sucks.
