Urban Frank Meyer III, born July 10th, will celebrate his 54th Birthday today.
Urban was born in Toledo, grew up in Ashtabula and played football for the University of Cincinnati. He owns a bachelors in Psychology from UC and a Masters in Sports Administration from The Ohio State University.
Meyer's first head coaching stint was in 2001 at Bowling Green University. He was nothing short of outstanding, turning the Falcons into a winning program. After his two successful season, Utah came calling in 2003. And it didn't take long, the Utes won their conference championship in his first year. The following season, Meyer led the undefeated Utes to a BCS bid and undefeated season after beating Pittsburgh in the Fiesta Bowl. Meyer took his success to Florida the following season and we all know how that turned out - Two BCS Championships in 2006 and 2008 (The former against our Buckeyes). Urban coached his last game in Florida on January 1, 2011 when Florida won the Outback Bowl against not-out-rivals, Penn State.
On November 17th, 2011, Eleven Warriors reported that Meyer would become the next head coach for the Buckeyes, a report Meyer denied. Eleven days later, Urban Meyer was introduced as the next Head Coach of The Ohio State Buckeyes.
We are 99.7% sure Urban Meyer has agreed to a deal to become the next coach of Ohio State. Solid sources. Plural.

His first year in Columbus, Meyer lead the Bucks to an undefeated 12-0 season with no Bowl game due to NCAA (shit) sanctions.
Two year later, Meyer conducted one of the most magical seasons on record. Losing a starting QB preseason, he rode RS Freshman JT Barrett to an 11-1 record before JT sustained a season ending injury. Enter Cardale Jones and the greatest 3-game run in the history of College Football. Ending in Meyer's third National Championship and the first ever of the College Football Playoff.
Happy Birthday Coach!
