Any impartial college football fan watching the Minn Purdue matchup should be furious and wanting to see action against obvious cheating by officials. With the game on the line, a compromised or incompetent official provided Purdue a fake loss. There will be no accountability as usual. There are no consequences other than Purdue having to accept a fake loss. This cruel joke was exposed to a national TV audience. I love college football, as do most fans on this site, but at some point people may determine they no longer accept our cheating culture, and quit watching.
Real time accountability could be implemented? Perhaps each coach would be allowed a challenge flag until a challenge fails. I realize the play in question is a so called non review play. Should it be?
Who will stand up for honesty in the BIG10? The coaches can’t or they get penalized.
