Welcome back to Friday Night Fights.

This is your chance to prove to yourself, or to others, that you are an expert in predicting Ohio State's football success. FNF keeps the receipts and shows everyone how good your takes were – if you are feeling particularly bold, get in the comments and defend your take.

When we last fought, Ohio State did just enough to pull away from the feisty Fightin' Schianos. Congratulations to UnholyBuckeye for my FNF Take of the Week:

While nothing was spot on, the combination of almost there takes in this comment wins Unholy the award this week. Congrats.

Here's how FNF works:

  • Vote in the Strawpolls for each question.
  • Comment below with a prediction for Saturday's contest. Be bold, funny, correct, or - better yet! - all three.
  • Check in on Fridays to see if your take gets framed. Then we'll rinse and repeat next Friday.

Here's how you voted last week:

Question 1: Rutgers hasn't allowed a 200-yard passer since September 23rd, when JJ McCarthy threw for 214.

I'm tempted to talk about how much of that yardage was the checkdown to TH32, but I also want to sympathize with being forced out of his safety blanket with Stover out. He was fine.

Question 2: How many carries will running backs not named TreVeyon Henderson get?

Another swing and miss by the prognosticators. I find it strange how much Henderson's share of carries has increased SINCE he came back from injury, you think it would be a lot more like his share at the start of the season.

Question 3: Will Rutgers or Ohio State snap the other's streak of no 40+ yard plays?

And the voters fire ANOTHER blank. I was very surprised no one voted for this option when I looked at the results - Henderson's big play potential combined with Rutgers' bag of tricks made this one seem very intuitive.

Question 4: This game's over/under of 42.5 is the lowest for an Ohio State game in god knows how long.

The secondary injuries took a noticeable toll on our defense, resulting in Rutgers scoring the second-most points against us all year. If losing Ransom hurts our run defense this badly, then I'm gonna start panicking.

Question 5: How many combined passing yards will Michael Penix Jr. and Caleb Williams throw for in the Washington-USC game?

Was very surprised at how much damage Washington did on the ground. I don't think Dillon Johnson was on anyone's radar heading into this game.

Here are this week's questions. Hopefully you can redeem yourselves this week:

Question 1: Kyle McCord hasn't thrown for 300 yards since the Maryland game. He has thrown for 3 touchdowns four times this year.

(Vote: https://strawpoll.com/mpnboBXmvg5)

  • He will throw for at least 300 yards and 3 or more touchdowns
  • He will throw for at least 300 yards, but less than 3 touchdowns
  • He will throw for less than 300 yards, but 3 or more touchdowns
  • He will throw for less than 300 yards and less than 3 touchdowns

Question 2: I will pose the same question that nobody got right last week. How many carries will go to running backs not named TreVeyon Henderson?

(Vote: https://strawpoll.com/GeZAOVBpjnV)

  • Less than 5
  • 6-10
  • 11-15
  • 16-20
  • More than 20

Question 3: Who will be Ohio State's leading receiver this week?

(Vote: https://strawpoll.com/2ayLk715MZ4)

  • Marvin Harrison Jr.
  • Emeka Egbuka
  • TreVeyon Henderson
  • A tight end
  • Another wide receiver

Question 4: Is this finally the week we get a shutout?

(Vote: https://strawpoll.com/XOgONl8D0n3)

  • Yes! Jim Knowles for the Broyles, baby.
  • No, but they hold MSU to 7 or less
  • No, but they hold MSU to 14 or less
  • No, and MSU scores more than 14

Question 5: I liked this question last time, too! Pick a playoff contender to have their hopes and dreams brutally ruined this weekend.

(Vote: https://strawpoll.com/e2nar1DJpgB)

  • Georgia (vs. Ole Miss)
  • Washington (vs. Utah)
  • Florida State (vs. Miami)
  • Alabama (at Kentucky)
  • Oregon (vs. USC)
  • Michigan (at Penn State)

Happy fighting!
