A week ago I posted a genuine question. Knowing that there was friction between Knowles and LJ,  who did readers think actually won out after the first Oregon game, catapulting the D to #1 in the nation ? There were over 300 responses fueled by a string between three posters who insisted that the defensive alignment was 1) clearly Knowles from Ok State (so Day gave him the keys post Oregon). OR  2) clearly not Knowles alignment from Ok State post Oregon (so Day sat on him).  

Now we hear of an interview with CBS where Knowles attributes leaving to Ryan Day breathing down his neck , micro managing the defense in the two weeks post Oregon.   So NOW what do you guys think ?  Could it have been a hybrid of LJ’s 4 down with Knowles scheme masterminded by wunderkind Matt Guerrieri ?  (and prompting effusive praise from Day in the celebration at the shoe ?)
