The fictional Sci-Fi book, The Andromeda Strain, which came out in 1969, was famed author Michael Crichton’s 6th novel, and the first one he published with his own name, per Wikipedia.

The loyal Buckeye Faithful here on Eleven Warriors, were greeted on March 18th, 2025 with a new article about Michigan’s response to the ongoing investigation by the NCAA into the advanced scouting scandal.

What do these two items have in common you might ask? Since Crichton’s book was released, there was a 1971 movie and 2008 miniseries – both reflecting the storyline. Such film/TV iterations of the book are reminiscent in a different way, of scUM officials (Warde Manuel in this case) repeating the same furtive and deceptive BS (that would be buffalo sewage if you want to explain that term to your 6 year old kid, or you can insert the other BS, if deemed more appropriate) to try to downplay the scandal.

Quoting Wikipedia regarding The Andromeda Strain: “The Wildfire team, led by Dr. Jeremy Stone, believes that the satellite—intentionally designed to capture upper-atmosphere microorganisms for bio-weapon exploitation—returned with a deadly microorganism ………. Upon investigating the (fictional town of) Piedmont, the team discovers the townspeople either died in mid-stride or went ‘quietly nuts‘“.

While The Andromeda Strain is science fiction - “The Ann Arbor Strain”, could be a true warped mind virus microorganism, and we could argue that Warde Manuel and Sherrone Moore have not only been infected, but have also gone ‘quietly nuts‘ when repeating Charlie Baker’s lunacy about winning the natty “fair and square” while ducking the real issue of the cheating, with obfuscation and congenital deceit. Many of the Eleven Warriors Faithful posted such sentiment in the comments section from the March 18th article, pointing out this hypocrisy. (More on Sherrone in a later forum.) You have to admit, there is a strange correlation between the fictional story, and what we hear from the “Mutt and Jeff” of Ann Arbor. Then again, perhaps the repeated fabrications (of their version of the truth) are not from a microorganism, but are brought on by smoking weed – or God knows what - before doing a press release.

Nothing to see here, according to good ol’ Warde. No indications of coming penalties or punishment. Really?

Someone should inform the athletic director at scUM, that in the well-known children’s fairy tale classic The Emperor’s new clothes, a simple child blurted out the obvious, while all the adults in the kingdom were in full view of the Emperor strolling about in his birthday suit, while pretending that nothing was wrong with the situation. Hmm….., that gives me an idea. How about a modern day version of the story, called the The athletic director’s new Maize and Blue Jock strap? I think it has potential. Warde parades around in Ann Arbor, in public, in well, the aforementioned. Sherrone follows behind as a court jester - while the deluded crowds fawn over the 2023 Natty, denying that any wrong doing took place. The NCAA with the NOA, represents the child, while the rest of the sports world watches and laughs at the spectacle, highlighting the delusion of a stupid fan base. Also, corresponding to the two tailors deceiving the emperor with a false outfit, with both escaping punishment in the original story, it would be Hairball and Stallions, bolting the program with no consequences – one for the NFL, the other for a payday at Netflix. Wow, that matches up very nicely! That being said, the thought of Warde displaying all that blubber just made me nauseous.

Anyways, it’s always good to write a piece that trashes TCUN.

Have a great weekend Buckeye fans!
