Just speculating here. It seems odd that Josh Gordon is released for showing up to Berea because "Gordon did not seem to be himself." For the last 4 plus years the Browns have been very supportive when he has given them more damaging reasons to release him. It is strange that it happened a week after he was a starter after Hue Jackson said he would not start. Would Hue be doing this to send a message to Todd Haley?
