The inaugural PPV event, 40 Yards of Gold, which pitted the fastest NFL players against each other in a bracket-style 40 yard dash competition, came to fruition last night with WR Marquise Goodwin of the SF 49ers taking home the gold and a one million dollar paycheck.
The rub is that Ted Ginn Jr, who claimed to be the fastest WR in the NFL, and was slated to run at the event, ended up no-showing at the last minute. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie also no-showed. Any insider info as to why Ginn no-showed? Did anyone watch the event on PPV and have any insights to share? What kind of odds would you have given Ginn if he would have competed? Thank you.
