From time to time I try to figure out what happened to guys who left OSU early or went to the NFL but didn't make it.
One such athletic phenom was Torrance Gibson. Brought in at the same time (as a QB) with Joe Burrow. His exit was an interesting situation with a tutor if I recall, not what the AD or Coaches wanted, but something it seems a student disciplinary committee made happen (I'm trying to remember the whole story).
He's now playing in the Indoor Football League (IFL) after some time in Canada.
Over the past several seasons, the IFL has continued to add historic organizations such as the Iowa Barnstormers and the Arizona Rattlers. The Rattlers made an immediate impact on the field and won the the 2017 United Bowl. The Barnstormers defeated the Sioux Falls Storm in the league’s 10th anniversary season and were named the 2018 United Bowl champions.
6'5" and 225 with speed. Oh, what might have been! Can you imagine Hartline coaching this guy up?
