With the Tokyo Olympics starting in less than a month (July 23rd) I have been enamored by watching the US Trials recently and wanted to get a thread going for those who are interested in the Games.  Obviously always pulling for Team USA, but I always love seeing the top athletes from around the world compete in their respective events.

What competitions are you following most closely?  Which athletes are the most compelling to you?  Any connections to athletes or teams?  

I usually follow track and field the closest, otherwise I always like cycling, soccer, swimming, volleyball, handball (not that I know much about it but it looks like a blast), and swimming.  I'm not a huge gymnastic fan/spectator but I will definitely be tuning in for Simone... such an amazing competitor and young woman!  Cheers and here is to a successful and healthy Games for the competitors!
