Last thread made it to 300 comments. Not the start of the season we had hoped for but after 6 weeks we are tied for first in the division with the Browns/Steelers looking like poo. Bengals certainly seem to be trending up.
Vegas Odds:
- Bengals to make playoffs- Yes(+110) No(-130) so currently a slight favorite to miss the playoffs.
- Bengals are 9th to win the superbowl at +2200. That puts them 5th for the AFC.
- Adjusted Vegas lines through 6 weeks puts the Bengals at the 9th best team in the NFL.
- Bengals +225 to win the AFC North, Ravens currently -160 which currently having the tiebreaker boosts heavily.
Injuries
- DJ reader-He was playing at an All Pro level before getting hurt and being placed on IR. The Falcons game will likely be the last one that he misses. The run defense has been dramatically different with him out, going from easily top 10 to one of the worst.
- Tee Higgins did not practice leading up to the Saints game and still played anyways. The hope is he will be back to 100% starting this week.
- Logan Wilson reinjured the shoulder he had surgery on late in the Saints game. He may miss some time.
Schedule-Next 4 weeks are going to be pivotal to making the playoffs. Its a ridiculously easy stretch that leads into a the tough back half. Going to need some cushion.
- Falcons-Bengals are 6.5 point favorites against a Falcons team that cant really throw the ball and are fine on defense. This should be a win to finally get over .500
- @Browns(MNF)-Browns have been pretty bad and they wont have Deshaun for this game. Hopefully Reader will be back and the Bengals can abuse this bad defense.
- Panthers-One of the worst teams in the NFL and you get them at home. Needs to be a win.
- @Steelers-They are terrible and robbed a win in the first week, need to get it back.
