Greetings Eleven Warriors guys and gals!
It is the off-season and the pickings are getting pretty slim. While reading the thread about Bill Swinney and Clemson earlier, I thought about how many players/athletes either don't reach their potential or some who exceed it (perceived or otherwise).
What is the worst take you, personally, ever had on a player/athlete in your lifetime?
I will start with mine which, I must admit, missed by quite a lot.
I watched Larry Bird at Indiana State and all the hype around him. I thought that once this slow white guy who couldn't jump got to the NBA, he would be dominated by the quicker, tall defenders in the league and basically be a bust.
Just barely missed with that one, didn't I?
Who did you misjudge and what was your reasoning?
