Lincoln Kienholz is proving to be a real contender in Ohio State's quarterback competition.

Between a gorgeous sideline toss to Carnell Tate and a post route to Brandon Inniss on Ohio State's Student Appreciation Day, the redshirt sophomore had great flashes with a few inconsistencies. He and Julian Sayin split first-team reps for the Buckeyes, as it appears to be a two-horse race between the two for the starting job.

Elsewhere, other standouts from Student Appreciation Day included true freshmen Quincy Porter and Bo Jackson, second-year defenders Payton Pierce and Aaron Scott Jr. and third-year defensive tackle Kayden McDonald, among others. The Buckeyes' cornerback depth as a whole was on display, as Jermaine Mathews Jr. intercepted a pass and Davison Igbinosun and Lorenzo Styles Jr. each had nice PBUs.

Eleven Warriors’ Dan Hope and Andy Anders shared their immediate thoughts from the Woody Hayes Athletic Center on a new episode of Press Coverage.
