Ohio State beat Team Mexico and Team Japan in the jazz and pom competitions. In the former, Mexico won silver, and Japan won bronze. In the latter, Japan took silver while Mexico took bronze. Teams from Finland, Scotland and Norway also competed for podium spots in both competitions.
The Buckeyes' representation at the ICU World Championships, as well as their accolades, comes after Ohio State won collegiate national titles for its jazz and pom routines in January. Those two championships marked the program's ninth and 10th team titles since 2018, strengthening the Buckeyes case for being the most dominant teams in the sport.
