Gibbs, a 6-foot-2 guard averaged 16.3 points and 3.8 assists per game while shooting over 43 percent from 3-point range last year for the Pirates and was a second-team All-Big East selection. Gibbs is a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining and would be able to play immediately.
According to Rothstein, Gibbs is visiting Pitt today and will visit the Buckeyes on Thursday. Rothstein also reports Gibbs will visit UConn at some point next week.

Gibbs is the younger brother of former Pitt star Ashton Gibbs, so his ties to the Panthers are strong. But the Buckeyes, who have a free scholarship for the 2015-16 season following D'Angelo Russell's departure, are apparently still in the mix.
