Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley suffered a left heel injury in January that sidelined him for the remainder of the 2018 season. That won't keep him from competing for a spot on the 2020 Olympic men's basketball team.

The Memphis guard is one of 35 NBA players invited into the 2018-2020 Olympic pool.

Players will attend minicamp in Las Vegas from July 25-27. It will be the first camp led by new coach Gregg Popovich, who took the reins from Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski after the latter retired following the 2016 Olympic gold-medal performance in Rio de Janeiro.
