The Hurry Up is your nightly dose of updates from the Ohio State football recruiting trail, keeping tabs on the latest from commits and targets from around the country.

TAKING IN THE SIGHTS

Many Ohio State recruits will be on hand for Saturday's 3:30 p.m. kickoff against Tulane, including 2020 linebacker Bangally Kamara.

Kamara, who carries a three-star rating from 247Sports, is a 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior at Akron East. This weekend's visit to Columbus will be his first.

"I’m looking forward to seeing the facilities and the field and building a relationship with the coaches," Kamara said. "I started getting recruited by Ohio state in the summer but I've been in contact with the recruiting coordinator and linebacker coach Bill Davis."

Kamara says he's looking for a college where he can make an early contribution. As of now, he has standing offers from Cincinnati, Kent State, Akron and Toledo.

With Kamara on its defense, Akron East has started the year 3-1 with wins over Massillon Jackson, Springfield and Canton Hoover. Coming off a loss to Dover, the Dragons will travel to Mentor Lake Catholic this Friday.

"My favorite thing about football is the chills before the game," Kamara said. "I think my team is going to win it all at the end of the season."

GUESTS OF HONOR

Kamara will be one of many Ohio State recruits to make a visit to the Shoe Saturday. He'll be joined by five-star 2020 defensive end Bryan Bresee (Damascus, Md.) as well as Pickerington North's duo of 2020 receiver Chris Scott and 2021 defensive end Jack Sawyer.

Three-star 2020 receiver Devell Washington (Bay City, Mich.) is also expected to be in attendance. Washington, the state's No. 11 ranked prospect according to 247Sports, is a 6-foot-4, 200-pound wideout with offers on the table from Michigan and Michigan State, among others. The Buckeyes offered Washington this past June.

With Ohio State focusing on Tulane, the Buckeyes could get some help on the recruiting end from a couple of big-name commits. Five-star offensive tackle Paris Johnson (Cincinnati, Ohio) and five-star center Harry Miller (Buford, Ga.) are also expected to be back in Columbus, in support of Urban Meyer's return to the sidelines.

ATTEMPTING TO LAND LANDEN

Currently, Ohio State has locked up one running back in its 2020 recruiting class: four-star back Darvon Hubbard (Scottsdale, Az.). Wednesday, the Buckeyes passed out an offer to Boyle County (Ky.) running back Landen Bartleson in an attempt to add to that number.

Bartleson is a three-star talent and, according to 247Sports, Kentucky's No. 4 ranked recruit. The 6-foot-1, 182-pound speedster had 1,143 rushing yards on 159 carries and 20 scores as a sophomore. This fall, he's taken 56 rushes for 324 yards and 11 scores.

Over his career, he's tallied 1,910 rushing yards on 265 carries, an average of 7.2 yards per tote. Bartleson's Rebels have started 5-0 this season and are putting up 41.4 points per game. That's after a season where Boyle County finished 14-1 and won the Class 3A state championship. In the state title game, a 40-21 win over Corbin, Bartleson carried the ball 16 times for 88 yards and caught a six-yard touchdown pass.
