Ohio State presented a top-100 prospect in the class of 2024 with an offer on Friday.
Four-star Georgia product Joseph Stone, who could play either wide receiver or defensive back at the next level, announced his Ohio State offer on Twitter.

Stone is ranked as the 82nd-best prospect in the 2024 class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s picked up 22 Division I offers thus far, a list that includes Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee and South Carolina.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Stone lined up at quarterback, running back and wide receiver for Grayson High School (Loganville, Georgia) last season and completed 45 of 86 passes for 440 yards with two touchdowns and five interceptions. On the ground, Stone ran for 687 yards and nine touchdowns. He also had 17 receptions for 102 receiving yards.
Gullette to take official visit to Ohio State
On Friday, four-star Texas linebacker Derion Gullette included Ohio State in his top 12 alongside Texas, Notre Dame, Auburn, Oregon, USC, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama, LSU, North Carolina and Miami.

Gullette included Ohio State in his top 12 even though he has not yet taken a visit to Columbus. Despite that, the Buckeyes are a strong contender for the 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker. He told 247Sports this week he’s already decided that he’s going to make OSU one of his five official visits this summer.
“Their message to me, they see me as like a Buck linebacker, like the hybrid linebacker that can run, cover, rush off the edge, blitz, be able to cover and stuff like that,” Gullette told 247Sports. “That's what they say they see me as.”
Gullette was offered by Ohio State on Dec. 2 and is one of many linebacker targets the Buckeyes have their sights on for 2023. Other options include Tackett Curtis, Arvell Reese, Jaiden Ausberry, Troy Bowles, Lewis Carter and Raul Aguirre. OSU would like to sign two linebackers in the class.
Wilson visiting Galloway
Ohio State coaches continue to get on the road to see various recruiting prospects as part of the spring evaluation period. On Monday, tight ends coach Kevin Wilson stopped in Chillicothe to visit four-star 2024 Ohio tight end Tayvion Galloway.

Galloway recently visited OSU on March 22, which allowed him to meet Ryan Day for the first time.
“It was great to finally meet him and begin building our connection and relationship,” Galloway told Eleven Warriors in March of his meeting with Day. “He told me obviously I am a talented player and that’s why I was there, but Ohio State football is much deeper than talent, and he wants to make sure I am a great person.”
Galloway holds 22 Division I offers to this point, but OSU has not yet extended him an offer. Schools that have offered include Arkansas, Cincinnati, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, North Carolina and West Virginia.
Baxter leaves OSU off top five
One of Ohio State’s top running back targets for the class of 2023 is heading a different direction. Four-star Florida running back Cedric Baxter released a top five list over the weekend that left out OSU, trimming his final five to Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Florida and Miami.

Ohio State’s top remaining running back target, Richard Young, remains on the market and has scheduled an official visit to Columbus for late June. If Young goes elsewhere, though, it’s unclear who else the Buckeyes might target to pair with Mark Fletcher as a second running back in the class.
