Four prospects received offers from Ohio State after impressing the Buckeyes with their performance at Tuesday’s camp.

Four-star Ohio running back Jordan Marshall was the lone recipient of an offer from the 2024 cycle. Additionally, the Buckeyes also offered three 2025 prospects in Florida wideout Jaime Ffrench, Georgia linebacker Jadon Perlotte and Ohio running back Bo Jackson

Starting with the prospect closest to playing in college, Marshall became the sixth running back Ohio State has offered in the 2024 cycle. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound running back from Cincinnati, who now has 23 Division I offers, is considered the 260th-best player and the 18th-rated running back in the 2024 class per 247sports’ composite rankings. Marshall impressed Ohio State running backs coach Tony Alford in drills with his soft hands and quick feet.

Ohio State has been impressed with several young wide receivers during camp season, offering 2025 wideout Winston Watkins Jr. and 2026 prospect Chris Henry Jr. last week. Tuesday marked Ffrench’s opportunity to steal the spotlight.

After an impressive camp, Brian Hartline made the offer to Ffrench and Ryan Day put an emphasis on it.

"The coaching really feels like family," Ffrench told Eleven Warriors. "Coach Hartline told me (of the offer) first, then I had a meeting with coach Day. Coach Day basically told me that he just wanted to extend the offer. It was very exciting."

Ffrench has already built up quite the offer sheet thus far in his recruitment. The Florida resident has picked up 13 Division I offers, a list that includes Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Michigan.

"I don't quite know where it stands right now because I'm young, but it's definitely top five," Ffrench said of his Ohio State offer.

The Buckeyes have also made quite the impression on Perlotte. Jim Knowles has been scouting the 2025 prospect for a few months now and requested he camp in Columbus this summer after studying his film. Knowles and Day pulled the trigger on offering the 6-foot-4, 205-pound linebacker after seeing him live.

“Coach Day told me I’m one of their top priorities in the 2025 class,” Perlotte said after receiving his offer. “(Ohio State is) definitely top-three right now. It’s a family culture. I love it.”

Perlotte, who has 24 Division I offers so far, has already locked in his next visit to OSU for the Sept. 3 season opener against Notre Dame.

The final offer of the day was Jackson, who was born with a great running back name. Jackson was one of the more impressive backs at camp, particularly when it came to showing off his pass-catching skillset. OSU is Jackson's second Division I offer, with Kentucky being the other.

Two players who already have Ohio State offers, 2023 four-star linebacker Arvell Reese and 2024 four-star cornerback Bryce West, were among a host of Glenville High School players who made the trek to Ohio State Tuesday.

West and Reese both looked smooth in drills. They camped Tuesday wanting to improve their game even though they already have Ohio State offers in hand.

"I just wanted to get a feel of how the coaches are and learn some things from great coaches," Reese said. "Coach Knowles has a great legacy, so I just wanted to pick up a few things from him."

It’s not uncommon for Ohio State players to attend the camps and show support to prospective players hoping to earn a Buckeyes offer, and sophomore running back TreVeyon Henderson had extra incentive to show up Tuesday.

Henderson’s younger brother, Kesean Henderson, worked out with the Buckeyes Tuesday as both a running back and a linebacker. Kesean, a 2024 prospect, currently holds six Division I offers.

In addition to Marshall and Jackson, another in-state running back that had an impressive showing in Tuesday’s drills was 2024 Avon product Jakorion Caffey. Caffey consistently won his reps as a receiver in one-on-ones and looked largely impressive during individual drills.

In Tuesday’s morning session, four-star Ohio offensive lineman Luke Hamilton showed plenty of grit. In a one-on-one rep, Hamilton took an accidental blow to the head, causing him to bleed and visit the trainer. Just a few minutes later, Hamilton was back out on the field taking his reps.

While Hamilton didn’t receive an offer Tuesday, he learned a lot from camping with Justin Frye, even getting a private workout after the main camp session ended along with 2023 offensive linemen Dane Woodard and Phillip Daniels and 2024 offensive lineman Ndika Chukwuebuka Anthony

After finally taking a camp off on June 7, Ohio State defensive tackle commit Will Smith Jr. was back in action Tuesday, and he was a one-man wrecking crew in one-on-one drills.
