Ohio State now has the No. 1 prospect in the country committed to its 2025 class – at least, according to one major national recruiting outlet.
Rivals released its new updated rankings on Monday and revealed that five-star Ohio State quarterback commit Tavien St. Clair is the No. 1 overall prospect in the nation.

St. Clair, who committed to Ohio State last summer, has seen his stock rise over the past few months after putting on a clinic at the Elite 11 – a prestigious competition for prep quarterbacks – and winning the accuracy challenge.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback is rated the No. 2 prospect and No. 2 quarterback by 247Sports, the No. 8 prospect and No. 2 quarterback by On3 and the No. 15 prospect and No. 3 quarterback by ESPN. In the 247Sports' composite ranking, St. Clair is the No. 9 prospect and No. 2 quarterback in the 2025 class.
Also of note for Ohio State commits in the Rivals updated rankings: Carter Lowe has been upgraded to a five-star prospect and ranks No. 24 overall, Na'eem Offord ranks No. 23 overall, Riley Pettijohn ranks No. 14 overall, and Devin Sanchez ranks No. 6 overall.
