Ohio State has offered four new offensive linemen this week.

The Buckeyes offered three on Wednesday, two of which we covered in that day’s Hurry-Up. OSU also offered one late Wednesday night and on late Thursday made an offer to a flip candidate in the 2025 class. We’ll delve into both below.

Damola Ajidahun

Ohio State isn’t done taking a swing at 2025 offensive tackles. Justin Frye extended an offer to four-star 2025 Georgia tackle Damola Ajidahun on Thursday, hoping to flip Ajidahun’s commitment from Georgia Tech.

Ajidahun is an in-state product for the Yellow Jackets, so Frye and OSU will have their work cut out for them to land the 6-foot-6, 280-pound prospect.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Ajidahun is considered the No. 231 prospect and the No. 25 offensive tackle in the 2025 cycle. He committed to Georgia Tech on Aug. 3 and took official visits to Georgia and Ole Miss this summer.

In all, Ajidahun has nearly 30 Division I offers, including Georgia Tech, Georgia, Ole Miss, App State, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Duke, Florida, Kansas State, Kentucky, NC State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Tennessee, Tulane, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Wake Forest.

J.B. Shabazz

Shabazz became the 17th offensive lineman in the 2026 class to receive an OSU offer on Wednesday.

Per 247Sports’ composite rankings, Shabazz is considered the No. 500 prospect and the No. 31 offensive tackle in the 2026 cycle. The 6-foot-7, 295-pound lineman has picked up 12 Division I offers, including Appalachian State, Auburn, Kentucky, Liberty, Maryland, North Carolina, Purdue, South Carolina, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and West Virginia.

Zahir Mathis hints at OSU official visit coming soon

Considering Pennsylvania four-star Ohio State defensive end commit Zahir Mathis is the lone committed prospect who’s yet to take an official visit to OSU in the 2025 class, there’s been a bit of angst from the outside that Mathis could be a potential flip candidate.

Mathis has visited in-state school and Big Ten rival Penn State several times since his OSU commitment and plans on being back in Happy Valley for a gameday visit sometime this fall. But it seems OSU won’t have to wait too long for Mathis to return to campus for his long-awaited official visit. Mathis announced this week he’ll be back in Columbus “soon,” which should alleviate at least some worry about Mathis’ flip possibility. It’s unconfirmed at this point, but Mathis’ likeliest visit date is in October for the Nebraska game.

The 6-foot-6, 225-pound prospect committed to the Buckeyes on Jan. 10 and is considered the No. 64 prospect and No. 6 edge in the 2025 class per 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Jahkeem Stewart now enrolled in school

Last week, it was reported five-star 2026 Louisiana defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart was no longer enrolled at his high school and he’d be looking for an alternative option quickly so he could eventually reclassify to the 2025 class and potentially enroll in his college of choice in January.

This week, despite speculation he could enroll at IMG Academy, Stewart reportedly has enrolled at Edna Karr High School in Louisiana. Stewart likely won’t be eligible to play for Edna Karr’s football team this fall, though.

It’s unconfirmed if this change in schools will let Stewart achieve his goal of a quick reclassification, but reading between the lines, that has been the thought process of changing schools in early fall.

Zelus Hicks commits to Texas

A top safety in the 2026 class with an Ohio State offer is off the board. Five-star Georgia safety Zelus Hicks announced his commitment to Texas on Thursday, strengthening the Longhorns’ 2026 cycle.

Hicks visited OSU a few times during the recruiting process, but opted to play collegiately in Austin instead.
