More than a few dozen highly touted prospects are expected to make their way to Ohio State for the Buckeyes’ biggest recruiting weekend of the year so far against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Starting with Ohio State’s current recruiting class, at least 14 of OSU’s 26 commits are expected on campus, including five-star prospects Tavien St. Clair, Devin Sanchez and Riley Pettijohn.

Of all the commits coming to campus, linebacker Tarvos Alford is arguably the most important considering he’s been sought after heavily by Miami and Florida State, so it will be good for him to get around linebackers coach James Laurinaitis and be reassured of his importance to OSU.
In the 2026 class, top-70 prospect Dorian Barney will be taking his first visit to another school since committing to Alabama on May 19. Barney, a Georgia product, has a close relationship with Tim Walton and the Buckeyes will do their best to get back in the recruitment of the talented cornerback.

A few standout Ohio offensive linemen will also be on campus from the 2026 cycle, including Maxwell Riley, Will Conroy and Adam Guthrie. Riley and Conroy both hold OSU offers, while Guthrie could be on offer watch and is considered a top-215 prospect in the cycle.

Four-star 2026 defensive end Rodney Dunham is also expected to be on campus. Dunham earned his OSU offer on Wednesday and is considered the No. 56 prospect and the No. 6 edge player in the 2026 cycle per 247Sports’ composite rankings. Of note, Dunham is the high school teammate of OSU wide receiver target Brody Keefe.

Iowa 2026 tight end Evan Jacobson will be back on campus for the first time since earning an offer from OSU this summer and Saturday will be a prime opportunity for him to see the Buckeyes take on his hometown Iowa Hawkeyes.
In the 2027 class, no visitor is bigger than five-star quarterback Brady Edmunds. Edmunds has been high on the Buckeyes since picking up an offer from Ryan Day and Chip Kelly following a standout recruiting camp in June and is now making his second trip to campus. Edmunds’ recruitment is moving quickly, as he’s set a top four of OSU, Penn State, Michigan and Texas. Following the Ohio State visit, Edmunds is expected to visit Texas on Oct. 19 for the Longhorns’ contest against Georgia, but a commitment could come sometime shortly after that trip. With that said, making a big impression on Edmunds will be crucial for OSU if it wants to potentially secure his commitment.

Another five-star prospect from 2027 will be at Ohio Stadium on Saturday: Ohio wideout Jamier Brown. Brown is one of the fastest players in the state of Ohio and picked up an offer from Brian Hartline in June. He’s considered the No. 6 prospect and No. 2 wide receiver in the 2027 cycle.
