It was a big recruiting weekend for Ohio State.
It ultimately resulted in the commitment of a major target at safety (more on that later), but the Buckeyes also offered three new players in the 2027 class over the past few days. We’ll delve into each new offer below.
Antwoine Higgins Jr.
James Laurinaitis offered Higgins Jr., one of the top in-state players for the 2027 class, on Saturday.

In his sophomore year, Higgins recorded 55 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, an interception and five pass deflections.
Cameron Wagner
Tyler Bowen has already had a terrific spring on the recruiting trail, landing three commitments for the Buckeyes’ 2026 class. On Saturday, he extended an offer to four-star Illinois offensive tackle Cameron Wagner, a top-80 player in the 2027 cycle.

Wagner profiles as a tackle prospect at the next level and likely won’t need to move inside.
K.J. “Spider-Man” Green
Larry Johnson offered one of the more talented defensive ends in the 2027 class on Saturday, extending an offer to K.J. Green.

Derek Colman-Brusa sets official visit with Ohio State
A defensive end with an Ohio State offer has set his official visit schedule. Four-star Washington product Derek Colman-Brusa will take his official visit to Ohio State June 13-15 and also plans on visiting Washington, UCLA, USC and Oregon this summer.
Colman-Brusa will also be in Columbus before his official visit, as he has a trip planned to OSU from April 11-13. The 6-foot-5, 267-pound prospect is rated the No. 170 player and No. 17 edge in the 2026 class. Ohio State will have plenty of competition to secure his recruitment, primarily from Washington, as the Huskies attempt to get Colman-Brusa to stay home.
Buckeyes land commitment from No. 1 safety
In case you missed it early on Monday, Ohio State landed the commitment from the No. 1 safety in the nation.
Five-star Louisiana prospect Blaine Bradford committed to the Buckeyes Monday, choosing Ohio State over LSU and Texas. Although he just visited OSU over the weekend, the commitment was a surprise, but it gives the Buckeyes two five-star commitments for 2026 (Chris Henry Jr. being the other) and eight commitments total.
