The number of former Ohio State players on active NFL rosters just grew by one. John Simon, one of Urban Meyer's favorite players and former Ohio State defensive lineman, was signed today by the Houston Texans.
Simon, who had spent his entire professional career with the Baltimore Ravens, was signed off their practice squad today.
The move reunites Simon with his former position coach, Mike Vrabel, who is now on Bill O'Brien's staff down in Houston.
Simon, who has since moved to outside linebacker since turning pro, is expected to contribute to the Texan's special teams starting Thursday night against the Indianapolis Colts.
