Despite its gutsy performance against a then-ranked Minnesota team, Ohio State's 31-24 victory failed to move the voters that constitute the Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25.
Ohio State remained at No. 7 in the Coaches Poll, up from No. 11 last week. In the AP Top 25, the Buckeyes gained a spot from No. 8 to No. 7.
Other good news: Michigan State vaulted into the Top 10 (No. 9 in the Coaches, No 10 in the AP Top 25.) On top of that, Wisconsin, the favorite to face Ohio State in Indianapolis (assuming OSU takes care of business against the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday), moved into the Top 15 in both polls (No. 15 in the Coaches, No 14 in the AP.)
Overall, the Big Ten has four ranked teams in both polls. The SEC, however, leads the way with five teams in the Top 25 of both polls.
