The Associated Press honored Joey Bosa as a first-team All-American and Michael Bennett and J.T. Barrett as third-team selections Tuesday afternoon.

Bosa, a massive and talented sophomore defensive end who’s also been named a Walter Camp, USA Today and CBS Sports All-American, leads the Big Ten with 13.5 sacks and 20 tackles-for-loss. He is the league’s Defensive Player of the Year, Defensive Lineman of the Year and first-team all-conference selection.

Bennett, a senior captain and CBS Sports All-American who perhaps played his best football during the team's late-season push for the fourth and final spot in the College Football Playoff, has 36 tackles, 12.5 tackles-for-loss and six sacks.

While he and Bosa led a defensive line that, at times, terrorized opposing offenses, Barrett guided Ohio State to an 11-1 record as its starting quarterback after the team called upon the redshirt freshman to replace the injured Braxton Miller 12 days before the season opener.

Barrett, who is also the Big Ten’s Quarterback of the Year and Freshman of the Year, combined for 45 touchdowns before finishing fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting Saturday. He is out until spring ball after breaking his ankle against Michigan.
