An expected thunderstorm finally in Columbus shortly after 5 p.m. local times. Once officials detected lightning within a ten mile radius of Ohio Stadium, they suspended play between Tulsa and No. 4 Ohio State.
Officials suspended play at 5:25 p.m. ET. A second lightning strike at 6:45 delayed the game another 30 minutes. Afterwards, a 15 minute warmup session commenced.
The game resumed at 6:35 p.m.
Ohio State led Tulsa, 20-3, at halftime.
