2025 cornerback Jordyn Woods flips from Cincinnati and commits to Ohio State.
"If I went to another school I saw myself watching Ohio State win a national championship without me and I was going to be sitting on the couch. I didn't want to miss out on that."
J.T. Barrett shared that memory a few times already in his Ohio State football career but is set to release it to a national audience this week. The quarterback is set to be featured on Big Ten Network's "The Journey" on Tuesday night. The show airs at 9 p.m. ET.
In the clip above, shared by the Ohio State football program's Twitter account on Monday morning, Barrett discusses how he originally wanted to go to the University of Texas but ended up in Columbus after Tom Herman and Trent Dilfer told Urban Meyer what he could do to help the Buckeyes win.
Below is another clip from The Journey, where Barrett and Meyer speak on leadership, how the redshirt junior worked through his injury in the 2014 Michigan game, losing the starting quarterback job to one of his best friends, Cardale Jones and the OVI citation that resulted in a one-game suspension last year.
Great football player.
