Fresh off a 62-3 waxing of Nebraska, Ohio State opened as 27½-point favorites over Maryland Sunday. The Buckeyes will travel to face the Terrapins at Maryland Stadium for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPN Saturday.
Maryland started the season 4–0 under first-year head coach D.J. Durkin, but have just one win over their last five. The Terrapins were throttled by Michigan, 59-3, over the weekend.
The Buckeyes are 2–0 all-time against Maryland on the gridiron, with both wins coming during the Urban Meyer tenure with the Terrapins as members of the Big Ten. In the first meeting between the two programs, the Buckeyes romped, 52-24, at Maryland. Last season, Ohio State won going away, 49-28, at home.
