The Buffalo Bills announced Wednesday night the franchise has traded Cardale Jones, a fourth-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, to the Los Angeles Chargers for a conditional draft pick.
From buffalobills.com:
Heading to training camp with four quarterbacks was understandably not seen as a viable option for the Bills. On Wednesday, on the eve of training camp, Buffalo traded quarterback Cardale Jones to the Los Angeles Chargers in exchange for a conditional pick.
According to NFL Network reporter Albert Breer, the Chargers sent a seventh-round pick in either 2018 or '19 for Jones.
Jones joins former Buckeye teammates Joey Bosa and Joshua Perry in Los Angeles, where he will backup Pro Bowler Philip Rivers at quarterback to begin the season.
Excited for the new start, can't wait to get to work @Chargers
