J.T. Barrett took another step closer to supplanting Art Schlichter as Ohio State's passing king Saturday against UNLV.
After hitting H-Back Parris Campbell for a 69-yard touchdown catch on the Buckeyes' opening drive, Barrett linked up with K.J. Hill on the Buckeyes' next drive for 22 yards on 2nd and 17.
More importantly, the drive that culminated with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Johnnie Dixon gave Barrett 7,269 career passing yards, which moves him past Bobby Hoying in career passing yardage.
