I did not think that Ohio State was going to cover the spread against Maryland, which should tell you something about how I feel about betting on sports in general, and for me specifically: it's usually a bad idea.
For example, if you had bet me that J.K. Dobbins would have almost exactly as many rushing yards at this point in the season as Saquon Barkley, I'd have lost that bet. If you had bet me after the Army game that the Buckeyes would rattle off three straight games of more than 50 points (increasing each game), I'd have lost that bet, and if you had bet me that all signs of a quarterback controversy would completely fade despite Dwayne Haskins getting a ton of playing time, I'd have lost that bet too.
